When I was a child, my life was filled with curiosity. My family and friends called me “Hogishim-jangee,” which means “curious child” in Korean. I loved observing everything around me, from ants and butterflies to snowflakes and clouds.

When I got my first pet rabbit, I spent hours watching him jump, run, and even sleep. I drew him in my sketchbook, made clay figures, and took pictures with a digital camera to create little stop-motion films. I became fascinated by how different movements, shapes, speeds, and sounds could make something feel alive. That curiosity eventually grew into my love for animation, but it also taught me how much I enjoy the process of making something together. Through directing films, working with animation teams, and leading student projects, I found that I enjoy organizing ideas, communicating with people, sharing feedback, and helping a project move from an idea to a finished piece.

I still want to create stories filled with love, affection, warmth, and humor. Whether I am animating a character or helping a team through production, I love being part of the process that turns something imaginary into something that feels real!
